Ensign student promotes good health through community radio station

Kwame Asamoah, a second-year MPH student of Ensign College is making impressive strides through a community-based radio station called Radio Dayi at Anfoega in the Volta Region. Radio Dayi is a partner of the USAID/Communicate for Health (C4H) (Good Life – Live it well Campaign) project, and has been using their platform to help educate residents of the Anfoega community on critical health issues such as nutrition, adolescent health, maternal and child health, water and sanitation.

The good work of Asiemoah and his team caught the attention of the US Ambassador, His Excellency Robert P. Jackson, who paid a visit to the Radio station during a working visit to the region. Asamoah also hosted the Ambassador in a live interview where he addressed issues relating to health and child trafficking.

In a brief interview, Asiemoah expressed his appreciation to His Excellency Robert P. Jackson for his visit, which he described as “timely, and a source of motivation to me and my team at Radio Dayi, to continue with the good work we are doing for the people of Anfoega”.
